The mission of Charles County Public Schools is to provide an opportunity for all school-aged children to receive an academically challenging, quality education that builds character, equips for leadership and prepares for life, in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
A component of the Department of Public Works, Murals DC was established in 2007 to assist in the eradication of illegal graffiti and to teach the art of mural art to the youth of the city. Murals DC has created over 50 murals across the city.
DC Murals in the leading organization in Washington, DC whose sole mission is to document the murals that are in the city. Their undertaking is more intense than just taking pictures and noting who the artists are, but to preserve the stories behind the murals.
As a member of the member of the National Portrait Gallery Teacher Advisory Board (TAB) I have the opportunity to evaluate existing educational materials and programming that currently exist within the National Portrait Gallery. I also have the unique chance to create and develop components for future programming of the Gallery while contributing to a larger pedagogical conversation where my voice is valued and heard.
The ICAF fosters children’s creativity and develops their empathy. As a world leader in children’s art, the ICAF arranges exhibitions in Washington, DC and at major events across the U.S. and around the world. As a national Spokespoerson, I have been given the charge to organize youth and children’s panels at significant conferences. Adults gain the opportunity to get acquainted with the imagination that will shape our future.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. I have been a Brother of Alpha since 1995; initially initiated into the Theta Rho Chapter at Virginia Commonwealth University.
